Join our waiting list
Thanks for your interest in joining the Barcelona English Choir!
At the moment there are no free places in the choir, but you are welcome to join our waiting list, and we will be sure to let you know if any places become available.
IMPORTANT:
In order to receive further communications from us, please make sure that you mark barcelonaenglishchoir@gmail.com as safe / not junk/spam.
WAITING LIST – how does it work?
Singers are placed in order based on the date that they first contacted us, and places are allocated depending on availability in each voice part on each of the rehearsal days.
Don’t worry about selecting “don’t know” for your voice part – we will offer places if they are available in the more accessible ranges of altos (women) and basses (men).
When we have spaces available, we usually add new singers at two points in the year – in July/August (to start in September) and in December/January (to start in January).
We will contact you by e-mail to offer you a place.
We will also contact you twice a year so that you can confirm or update your preferences.
If you select the mailing list option, we will also keep you updated with other events, workshops and concerts so you can stay connected and engaged with our activities, even if we don’t yet have a place for you in the main choir.
OFFERS OF PLACES – what happens if/when I’m offered a place?
If you are offered a place in the choir, new members will have one week to pay a €20 non-refundable registration fee to confirm that they will take their place.
The fee for each term is currently €90 which covers:
- 3 months of group rehearsals
- One Saturday rehearsal with the whole choir (250 singers)
- One sectional rehearsal with just your voice part (Soprano / Alto / Tenor or Bass)
- In the Autumn and Summer terms, one Saturday rehearsal / performance / event at the end of term
- All of the resources that you will find in the members’ area – learning tracks, sheet music, and other learning materials
Payment for each term must be made before the first rehearsal in order to attend.
If you are in a difficult financial situation, we are always open to discussing options to make things easier. This is dealt with on a case by case basis.
I hope we get to sing with you soon!
